Okay time to bring out the overview of this series:
Pros:
~Brings back that love for it's predecessor manga and or anime.
~This hits well with the nostalgia card (I guess)
~Better than the anime called "Tri-Knights" in soccer sports genre anime.
~Semi-good character building.
~Animation decent.
~Soundtracks good.
Cons:
~Too much over dramatic drama.
~Too much + too many cliché tropes.
~Probably hits too much on the nostalgia card (maybe)
~Some Characters were just so cringe and some parts of this anime in some of the eps were so cringy.

As for as expects goes, Ao Ashi is better than this and just like last season comparing to badminton anime were one was better than the other it holds the same here.

Although I've seen worst sports anime or in general worst than this.
And I will state this is not worst soccer anime I've seen, that IMO would go to Tri-Knights for to me that started kinda good but got bad to worst and is total 💩 with bad animation and crappy characters. But this anime is meh in all aspects and sorry to others if I'm putting salt on the wound I'm being brutally honest and giving Shoot! Goal to the Futrue 4/10 and I'm being generous.

Lol this cringe fest has finally come to an end, I thought I would drop this but I was enjoying the cringe too much and it became a guilty pleasure. I'd probably watch another season but I honestly don't see a second season happening.

I laughed so hard at the scene with Sonoda and Sahara, that was so intimate for a lack of better word but although it's a cliche, I liked that they comforted the younger members first and then found a space where they could let out their emotions alone since it was their last game as they're third years.

Kouhei really jumped into Tsuji's bed in just boxers lol, I'm just glad he wasn't naked, that would have been a big surprise for Tsuji.

Kohei still spread his legs for Tsuji by 20:50 tho. the gay tag is missing in this one. y'all can't tell me that this just pure friendship. xD

on Kohei's part DEFINETELY, on the rest? it's left ambiguous like almost all sports anime does

I liked how the third year students comforted the younger students but then gave themselves time to go cry on the side. Oh it was really beautiful and really sad... It was their last chance, and even though now their high school can be successful, they won't be there anymore ☹️ I felt sad for them.

Wow what a roller coaster this series has been LOL. Glad we came full circle back to cringe fest for the final episode, but at least there were no pinball shots and the players/ball were actually moving. Also congrats to Amagai for actually blocking goals in this match 😂

The whole beginning arc made me ambivalent to Sahara and Sonoda, but it was still sad to see them comforting all their juniors before privately crying over the loss and the end of their time on the team.

cant believe i watched all 13 episodes of this wasted season.
and they didnt even get to explain eachothers story the mc and kohei, so they know what happend those years the struggles

OMG!!! Why did it have to end with their loss? That ending as too sad and I want the second season to come right now!!!! :'((((((

And for those who think this anime is gay, it is NOT. Back in 1960 and all the way to 1985, players used to hug themselves often either when they won a game or when they wanted to make each other feel less guilty after a tragic defeat. This last episode showed one of those defeats and it was a sadness that almost made me burst into tears! Losing it in the last moment and having the last shot to turn it around, but couldn't. Most people today will NEVER be able to understand the real meaning behind this sadness. It was especially sad bcs the seniors had to graduate and it was their last chance at the title, think how bad the juniors had to feel that their Senpais could not go with them together next for when they could potentially go to nationals!

The anime was bad at the beginning, but this episode was amazing! It is exactly the essence of football the way it used to be and it should be! Football is immortal, but generations today need a huge change to take it more seriously!

Overall Score: 7/10.
